Moonphase Longcase Clock - Bailey of Bristol

Description

A good mahogany longcase clock with Moonphase feature.

The 8 day duration movement striking the hours on a bell. The arched white dial showing seconds, date, Roman numerals and moonphase feature to the arch. The makers name signed to the centre of the dial with well painted corners displaying flowers, foliage and birds. The mahogany case with ebony inlay throughout and the trunk door flanked by canted corners. The plain base with bracket feet. The hood with brass capped reeded pillars and swan neck top with brass paterae and a brass finial. C.1825
