Description

A stunning Mother of Pearl visiting card case dating to the late Victorian era, around 1890.

The front panel is inlaid with sterling silver panels all beautifully engraved with the central lozenge having a vacant cartouche.

The press button is in perfect working order and the interior an absolute joy, with it's pristine concertina card sections and blue silk lining the interior of the case.

The case has a wonderful glossy patina showcasing the iridescent quality of the shell.

Excellent condition, measuring 4 1/4" x 3" while closed.
