Description

This early Tekke Turkmen rug was probably made around the mid 19th century. It has a beautiful soft palette of madder-red and a depiction of 8 Tekke gols in 3 vertical rows in the central field. The flatwoven skirts are complete albeit having some wear in the corners - otherwise the rug has no repairs and is in very good pile overall. A very good collectable little rug.

Size: 1.62m x 1.14m (5' 4" x 3' 9").
