Description

A wonderful antique snuff box dating to the late eighteenth century, around 1790, amazing that it has remained intact and in such wonderful condition over the last 220 years.

The metal used to mount the iridescent shell is sterling silver (unmarked - usual for a piece such as this). The top also has a small circular mount, almost making the box look like a Yo-Yo.

Excellent condition, the lid fits perfectly with usual knocks to the silver rims commensurate with age.
