Description

A wonderful antique English Papier Mache shaped glove box standing on four square feet.

The top features a highly collectible design featuring Crystal Palace created from Mother of Pearl and over-painted and gilded (with some inevitable loss to this over-painting, but still considered excellent condition).

The hand-painted garden scene is intricate and beautifully executed with a hand-painted label beneath " Crystal Palace ". There is a additional gilded decoration with hand-painted detailing.

Complete with working key, the box remains in splendid condition measuring 10" x 4 1/2" foot to foot x 3" tall.
