This is an exceptional example of a gents watch made by the premier swiss maker Longines.
The watch case is of heavy solid stainless steel which is extremely durable, it does have the flagship etched on the back of the watch which is a little faint but it does have the 103 underneath the ship.
This is the rare model with the centre seconds and highly sought after by collectors.
The serial number dates to to 1957.
The dial and winding crown are completely original and of course fully marked with Longines logo.
The glass, dial and movement are in perfect condition and it looks as though the watch was rarely worn.
The case measures 34mm diameter without the winding crown.
The watch comes with its original presentation box which is in excellent condition, clean and tidy and snaps tightly.
As you would expect from Longines the watch is fully marked on the dial, movement, crown and case.
It has a new premium grade black leather strap but a chestnut brown or tan strap but can be fitted or an extra long strap if you prefer.
The watch has just been fully serviced by the watch specialist Chris Batchelor of UK Watch Repairs and is guaranteed to be a genuine Longines in all respects. This watch has been fully and professionally overhauled, the process is highly detailed and meticulous.
The watch is stripped down to its component parts and each part is examined under a microscope for signs of wear, any worn parts are replaced with genuine manufacturers original parts. every part is then throughly cleaned in a 3 stage ultasonic cleaning process.
The movement is then fully assembled using manufacturer approved oils and lubricants and is carried out in a clean room environment. The watch movement is then checked and adjusted for accurate time keeping. The cases are polished and the watch sealed.
Obviously this is not a cheap or quick process which is why our watches are sometimes a little more expensive than others but you can be assured our watches will give reliable and dependable service and will not require any further attention for many years.
We only use natural daylight when taking photographs, we never digitally alter images or use artificial lighting to enhance our pictures so you can be assured the watch you see here is what you will receive and therefore you will not be disappointed.
Longines are one of the most exclusive watchmakers in the world and this watch certainly has that understated but elegant look.
The watch movement comes with a full 1 year warranty.
