Description

An English fusee dropdial wall clock. A rosewood case with choice veneers and brass inlays. A 12" painted dial with unusual Gothic script Roman numerals. The original side carvings and visible pendulum aperture. An 8-day duration timepiece fusee mechanism.

Samuel Chivers of Radstock is recorded in A J Moores' 'Somerset Clockmakers' book as working from 1861-1897.
