Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1910s.
The front also has a vacant cartouche which could be engraved by your silversmith, if desired.

The clasp works perfectly and once opened reveals a tan coloured leather interior, in excellent condition.
The silver is hallmarked for Birmingham 1918 together with the makers initials F.D.L., I believe for the silversmith, F. D. Long.

Excellent all-round condition, measuring 4 1/2" at widest point x 2 5/8" tall including clasp and 5 1/2" long including finger ring.
