Stunning English Sterling Silver Tea Caddy by Goldsmith's and Silversmith's Company

Description

A beautiful English sterling silver tea caddy with a hallmark for London 1914, 97 years old this year.

The elegant fluted design appears both on the body and the domed lid; with an urn shaped finial complementing the shape of the box.

Either side has a wonderful Lion's head mount with ring handles. Once opened a lavishly gilded interior.

The makers mark is also present as part of the hallmark for the very famous and highly sought-after silversmith, Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Company, the underside is also signed with the London address, 112 Regent Street, London W.

Excellent condition, measuring 5" across x 4 1/2" tall to top of finial. Weight: 5.86 Troy Ounces / 182.3 Grams.
