Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1890s.
The lid fits well and the hinge in perfect working order too. The underside is where the full English hallmark can be found for Birmingham 1895, making this a true Victorian example; the makers initials are also present, L & S for the well renowned silversmith, Levi & Salaman.
Excellent condition, measuring 2" tall x 1 3/4" wide x 1" tall to the top of the domed lid.
