Large Antique Cut Crystal and Sterling Silver Heart Shaped Box - 1903

Description

A romantic example of an Edwardian heart shaped trinket box made from a heavy thick piece of crystal beautifully cut in the ever-popular hobnail design with a star cut to the base.

The solid or sterling silver lid is excellent quality with a deep repousse decorated lid surrounding a central vacant cartouche which could be engraved if desired. The silver is of course hallmarked, for Birmingham 1903.

Superb condition measuring 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" x 2" tall.
