English Guilloche Enamel & Sterling Silver Lidded Vanity Jar - 1927

Description

A top quality example of a vanity or dressing table jar made from heavy glass with multiple panels cut around the outside.

The top is an absolute delight, made from sterling silver and with an unusual screw mechanism, these are usually a simpler pull off - pull on type.

The shaped lid is beautifully decorated with a stunning blue/green colour of guilloche enamel in perfect undamaged condition.

The silver is hallmarked for Birmingham 1927, W.G.S Ltd., I believe for the silversmith, W G Sothers & Co.

Excellent condition, measuring 3" tall and 1 1/4" max across the lid.
