Description

A quality small Scottish drumhead longcase clock. Choice flame veneers to the pale mahogany case. Trunk side columns and a raised plinth moulding. A recessed trunk door. A circular painted dial with date and seconds indicators. Blued steel hands. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the hours on a bell.

Gregor Hepting of Edinburgh is listed in Donald Whytes' 'Scottish Watch and Clockmakers' book as working from 1865-1883.
