Antique French Ormolu & Champleve Photograph Frame - Cherub Mounts, C.1880

Description

A stunning late nineteenth century Bronze photo frame in a delightful oval form with intricate and highly decorative Champleve enamel work, all in excellent condition.

The top and bottom are mounted with Ormolu (gilded) mounts, untouched and with a good antique patina. The top features two charming winged Cherub or Putti figures. The aperture which will accept a picture measuring 5 1/2" x 4" and is lucky enough to retain it's original thick bevelled glass.

The back retains it's original easel together with a ring for hanging.

Excellent condition, measuring 8 7/8" tall x 5 3/8" wide.
