Description

This lovely old saddle-bag has lost its other half - fairly common as most of them were cut up in Iran and made into cushions! Today, few complete saddlebags of this age are seen in the West. This one was made between 1900 and 1920 by Bakhtiari tribes in western Persia and is in very good condition with original plain-weave back in multi-coloured horizontal bands.

Size: 53cm x 47cm (1' 9" x 1' 7").
