Antique English Sterling Silver Ring Box for Two Rings - Victorian

Description

A beautiful late Victorian sterling silver ring box in a rectangular shape with a domed hinged lid, which shuts perfectly.

The box is covered with a plethora of repousse or embossed decoration including a heart shaped vacant cartouche in the centre of the lid.

Once opened, the box reveals a green velvet fitted interior for a pair of rings.

Fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1901, together with the makers initials A & J Z for the well renowned silversmith, Arthur & John Zimmerman. Excellent condition, with a lid measurement of 3 3/8" x 1 3/8" x 1 3/8" tall.
