Elmgarden has dated this piece to the 17th Century.
The Bed ends, Head and Foot have three carved panels, they have reeded carving similar to a linen fold but more primitive, the side columns on the bed head have more shaped primitive carvings and a rather unusual feature are the two sliding door cupboards at the very top, (candle boxes I should think)
I have shown the bed with a 5ft base and mattress these are not included in the sale
The bed head is 66” high and 58” wide, the foot of the bed is 36” high the internal length is 82”
