Stunning Antique Cut Crystal & English Sterling Silver Inkwell

Description

A wonderful late Victorian inkwell created from a heavy piece of crystal with beautiful decoration cut into it. The inkwell stands on four cut "paw" feet with integral "legs" on each corner; one of my favourite designs.

The silver collar and hinged lid are made from English sterling silver, hallmarked for the highly collectible Chester assay office and the year 1901, making this a late Victorian piece. The makers initials are also present (N & H) for the silversmith's, Nathan & Hayes - George Nathan & Ridley Hayes.

Excellent condition, measuring approximately 3" square x 4" tall. Beautiful quality.
