Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1900s.

The silver collar and hinged lid are made from English sterling silver, hallmarked for the highly collectible Chester assay office and the year 1901, making this a late Victorian piece. The makers initials are also present (N & H) for the silversmith's, Nathan & Hayes - George Nathan & Ridley Hayes.
Excellent condition, measuring approximately 3" square x 4" tall. Beautiful quality.
