Late 19th-century Pine Farmhouse Table with Drawer Circa 1880–1900

A wonderfully characterful late 19th-century pine farmhouse table, with an attractive pale scrubbed finish and beautifully worn surface. The substantial rectangular plank top displays the natural grain, knots and warm variation of the pine, with softly rounded corners and a particularly appealing timeworn patina. Raised on four elegant turned legs, the table incorporates a useful full-width drawer to one end, fitted with two turned wooden handles. A simple and very usable piece of country furniture, with excellent proportions for a kitchen or dining space. The generous 80cm depth makes it particularly practical as a four-to-six person dining table, while the pale natural finish works equally well in traditional and contemporary interiors. Knee Height is 60 cm

Condition: Good antique condition with considerable age-related character. The top has historic marks, scratches, knocks, wear and colour variation, together with some movement/separation between the boards and wear around the edges and corners. Further knocks and marks to the legs and frame consistent with age and use. The drawer operates. These imperfections form an integral part of the table’s attractive rustic character and patina.
