Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1900s.
What makes this particularly unusual is that it is glass lined, which can be seen from the underside where the star cut base can be seen, and of course when the lid is lifted the glass interior is revealed.
The makers mark is also present for the famous silversmith, James Deakin. The base is also stamped with a design registration number 392164.
Excellent condition, measuring 3 1/4" tall and a lid diameter measuring 2 3/4".
