Antique 19th century Victorian Dickens desk in mahogany, an outstanding and highly practical piece that combines exceptional craftsmanship with an abundance of storage.

Very well made and of good quality, this impressive desk is beautifully proportioned and offers all the character and functionality expected of a classic Victorian writing desk.

The desk is fitted with eleven drawers in total, arranged as two within the superstructure, three across the centre and six to the pedestal bases, arranged as three on either side. Each drawer having knob handles, preserving the desk's authentic character.

The writing surface is finished with an attractive green leather inset, while the central sloping section lifts to reveal a beautifully fitted interior, thoughtfully arranged for the storage and organisation of stationery, correspondence and writing accessories. Complete with a key, the desk stands on a plinth base fitted with castors and separates into three sections for ease of transport and installation.

The mahogany displays gorgeous natural grain and a rich, warm colour throughout, giving the desk tremendous depth and visual appeal.

Its elegant proportions, quality construction and thoughtfully designed interior make it a particularly desirable example, equally suited to a study, library or office.
