Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Rings from the 1920s Art Deco era often feature structured elegance combined with traditional gemstone cutting techniques, such as the old oval cut diamond. This period bridged earlier decorative styles and modern geometry, frequently pairing warm gold alloys with prominent central diamonds.

Rings from this era commonly utilised platinum, yellow gold, or rose gold mountings with hand-carved claw or bezel settings. Diamonds were hand-cut, resulting in unique proportions, deep pavilions, and distinct facet patterns compared to modern machine-cut stones.

Authentic period rings usually exhibit hand-faceted old cut diamonds with smaller table facets and prominent culets. Hallmarks inside the band, natural wear on the under-gallery, and hand-worked claw settings further indicate historical production.

A vintage solitaire ring can be paired with a plain metal wedding band or stacked alongside delicate textured bands. The warm tone of rose gold allows it to blend with mixed-metal jewellery arrangements and simple contemporary wardrobes.

Clean the ring using warm water, mild liquid soap, and a soft-bristled brush to remove debris from behind the setting. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners, and schedule periodic checks with a jeweller to ensure the claws remain secure.
