Antique 20th century Arts and Crafts bureau in oak, a beautifully designed and highly practical piece displaying the distinctive character and craftsmanship associated with the Arts and Crafts movement.

Very well made and of good quality, this impressive bureau combines display space, a fitted writing area and useful open storage within an attractive and unusual design.

The upper section features a glazed cabinet, ideal for displaying books, glassware or treasured decorative pieces, and is finished with a raised gallery to the top.

The central section incorporates a beautifully fitted writing interior, thoughtfully arranged to provide useful storage and organisation for stationery and correspondence.

Beneath are two open shelves, offering additional space for books, ornaments or other household items. The bureau also comes complete with its key.

The oak displays gorgeous natural grain and a rich, warm colour throughout, giving the piece plenty of depth and character.

Its distinctive proportions, practical arrangement and quality construction make it a particularly desirable example, with the understated styling perfectly reflecting the Arts and Crafts influence.
