Beautifully hand constructed and finely detailed, this museum-quality model represents a masterful piece of English social history.The caravan features exceptional craftsmanship, including genuine glass windows, a functional hinged half-door, intricately spoked wheels with heavy wrought iron rims, and a complex front turning mechanism.

The paintwork remains 100% original, boasting high standard, hand painted pin-line decoration over a rich maroon and mustard base. Ornate, hand-painted floral panels adorn the front, back, and sides, developing a magnificent aged patina over the last century.

Crucially, this fine model is fully signed and documented by its maker on the underside of the horses’ shafts: “Built by RD Roberts, 1907, 35 Grange Road, West Birkenhead.
Condition Report: Very good antique condition. The original paintwork shows a beautifully aged surface. Due to natural ageing, the wheels have gone slightly out of true in places but remain fully functional and rotate smoothly.
