Description

A stunning and very decorative Chinoiserie 3 door wardrobe by Maples & Co. of London. The figured walnut having wonderful Chinese decoration with scenes of pagodas, islands, junks, fishermen, water carriers, birds, willow trees, kites and Chinese characters. All having wonderful raised lacquer in reds, greens, browns, silver, whites and blacks with high quality gilded highlights. The breakfront centre door opens to a well fitted interior with 3 open drawers above 3 closed drawers with brass handles and is flanked by 2 further doors which open to fitted hanging space. The whole raised on short cabriole legs with further Chinoiserie decoration. Condition- very good. Dimensions:- Large wardrobe, Height…80’’/ 203cm. Width…80.25’’/ 204cm. Depth…22’’/ 56cm
