Antique 17th century William and Mary chest of drawers in oak, an outstanding and increasingly rare example of late 17th century English furniture. Very well made and of the finest quality, this magnificent chest displays the exceptional standards of craftsmanship associated with the William and Mary period and possesses a commanding presence that immediately sets it apart.

The chest is fitted with four generously proportioned drawers, ascending in size from top to bottom, each retaining its original brass handles and fittings. The drawers are beautifully constructed with a wonderfully solid, chunky feel, reflecting the remarkable quality of its manufacture.

Raised on bracket feet, the chest has elegant proportions while maintaining the robust character expected of furniture from this period. For ease of transport and installation, the chest separates neatly into two sections, a practical feature without compromising its impressive appearance.
