Description

A highly decorative matched pair of nineteenth-century burr walnut side cabinets, each featuring beautifully figured veneers, fine foliate inlay, gilt-metal detailing and a central oval painted porcelain plaque.

The classical figural plaques are framed by vivid blue borders and contrast beautifully with the warm golden walnut. Each single door opens to reveal a practical shelved interior lined in deep red fabric.

A rare and elegant pair with excellent decorative presence, ideal for use either side of a fireplace, doorway, console or large mirror.
