Large Late 19thc Fine Quality French Gilt Bronze Circular Hanging Hall Lantern

A large late 19th century (circa 1880) fine quality French gilt bronze circular hanging hall lantern with opaque glass.

This stunning hall lantern consists of a large hanging ring to the top leading down to foliate decoration and laurel wreath collar with intricate flower swags and four scrolling supports with foliate decoration, the central stem leading down to a three branch electrical fitting.

The lantern having four opaque glass panels held in place with four reeded uprights, the decorative and fine quality gilt bronze frame with foliate edge to the top, ball decoration and dentil design leading down to a pierced Vitruvian scroll and foliate design below.

This hall lantern is in very good condition for age, has been rewired and ready to be fitted by an electrician.
