Description

A Pair of Early 19th Century Bronze Vases.

The rims with a beaded top, surrounded by outward radiating olive leaves. The tazza shaped bodies with reeded cups, the reeding tapering inward toward a reeded socle, before wyvern fluted bases, finished with a circular foot, raised on a square plinth. The bowls mounted with pairs of reed and leaf handles. The tazza standing on Sienna marble plinths, the stepped bases finished with a collar of folding leaves.

Date circa 1830.

Height 8 3/4 inches, 22cm.

Width 6 3/4 inches, 17cm.

Depth 5 inches, 12.5cm.
