Antique Victorian - Edwardian Carved Three Piece Salon Suite C.1890–1910

A beautiful and highly decorative antique three-piece salon suite, comprising a two-seat settee and a matching pair of armchairs, dating from approximately 1890–1910.

This elegant suite displays the transition from late Victorian design into the Edwardian period, with particularly attractive Art Nouveau influenced carved detailing.

Each piece features an elegant shaped wooden frame with beautifully carved and pierced cresting, flowing arms and slender cabriole-style legs. The settee has a particularly attractive double upholstered back divided by a decorative carved central section.

The chairs and settee are upholstered in blue velvet, with deep buttoned backrests and contrasting decorative trim. The muted blue upholstery works particularly well against the warm colour of the wooden frames.

A striking original antique suite which would make an excellent feature in a living room, drawing room, bedroom, boutique interior or period property.
