He is best known for his atmospheric Paris street scenes, interior compositions, and portfolios of graphic works. He painted Oils, pastels, lithographs, and book illustrations. He exhibited at the Salon d'Automne (such as Panneau de fleurs and Intérieur in 1928) and created a noted 1942 suite of lithographs for Rainer Maria Rilke's Les Cahiers de Malte.
