Treasure Trove Worcester Ltd has dated this Andean Colonial Oil Painting to the 18th Century.
The work depicts the Virgin and Child in traditional stylised form, with floral and gold-painted detailing and a red patterned robe, set against a backdrop of drapery.

Painted on a coarse linen canvas, the work retains its original hand-carved stretcher. The surface shows craquelure and areas of wear consistent with age, particularly to the lower edge, but remains stable and legible.

Unrestored and offered as found, with characterful age throughout.
