Pretty Bidjar Kilim Carpet / Rug

1920 - 1940
Description

This is a pretty hand woven Bidjar carpet with a lovely design dating from around 1930.

The flat weave rug has a central lozenge with charcoal ground filled with colourful flowerheads and anthromorphic and Zoomorphic figures. This is surrounded by ivory spandrels filled with a repeat stylised rose head design and framed within olive green and deep rust coloured borders.

The rug is a nice neat size measuring 145 cms by 123 cms.

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
