Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Regency Revival furniture reproduces design elements popular in Britain during the early 19th century under the Prince Regent. Key features include classical proportions, deep mahogany tones, central pedestal supports, swept legs, and brass accents.

These tables were typically constructed from solid mahogany and mahogany veneers, prized for their stable structure and rich grain. Bases and feet were frequently reinforced with brass caps and metal castors for ease of movement.

Authentic Regency Revival pieces display precise joinery, reeded or fluted pedestal legs, rounded or oval tops with edge mouldings, and brass castors. Extension mechanisms often utilise timber runners or brass clip fastenings.

Pairing a polished mahogany pedestal table with contemporary upholstered dining chairs creates a balanced contrast between modern and historic aesthetics. Neutral wall tones and minimalist lighting help keep the dark wood from overpowering the room.

Dust the surface regularly with a soft microfiber cloth and apply high-grade beeswax polish occasionally following the wood grain. Protect the timber top from heat and liquids by using felt-backed coasters and placemats.
