Ritas Bazaar has dated this Silver Overlay Vanity Set to the 1960s.
The silver was mechanically applied and then carefully hand engraved with flowering wild rose branches and foliage. The decanter is decorated with an elegant Art Nouveau Scroll & Volute design, complementing the floral decoration of the remaining pieces.

Both original stoppers were individually ground by hand to produce an accurate airtight fit. The vase and scent bottle retain their original factory paper labels reading "Hand Made by Laugharne", while the vase carries a clearly visible "925" sterling silver hallmark.

Laugharne Glass specialised in limited-production coloured studio glass with exceptionally thick sterling silver overlays. Production ceased following the death of the workshop's principal master glassblower around 2010, making complete original vanity sets increasingly scarce.
