Gatsby Jewellery Ltd has dated this Burmese Ruby Diamond Ring to the 1960s.
A wonderful late twentieth century statement piece.

Accompanied by a ruby report from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory stating the ruby shows no indications of heating, and is Burmese (Myanmar) in origin, from Mong Hsu.
Cut: The main ruby is an oval cut. The small rubies are round cuts. The diamonds are round brilliant cuts.

Colour: The diamonds are G to H.
Clarity: The ruby has some visible inclusions (which is expected in rubies). The diamonds range from VS2 to SI1.
Carat: The central ruby is 1.57 carat, with a further 0.04 carat in the surround. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.16 carat.

Size: O 1/2 (UK) or 7 1/4 (US). Free sizing available.
Measurements: The ruby is 9.7 x 5.6mm. The head of the ring is 27.9 x 17.5mm and sits 7.8mm from the finger.
Weight: 10.09 grams.
Metal: 18k yellow gold. Tested with a Niton DXL Precious Metal Analyzer.
