Description

Pair of early C19th Regency period bronze campana-shaped reversible candlestick cassolettes and pastille burners of classical urn design.

The campana urn bodies with removable and reversible covers with cast berry finials . The reversed top then forming a candle-holder of gently sloping form . The rims of the vases with cast fluted decoration, with the lids removed the inside of the body having a circular shaped holder to accommodate a block of scented pastille for burning to add perfumed fragrance to a room.

The lower part of the bodies having gadrooned cast decoration and raised on turned socle supports onto square plinth bases . The sides of the vases each with loop handles.

In excellent original condition with a dark , consistent colour and patina .
