A fine quality 19thc fruitwood knitting sheath, that you would use for holding the "third" needle in some forms of knitting....this one tucks nicely under the arm or into your trouser belt...it is also finely decorated with punchwork and incised line patterns....excellent colour that you always get with fruitwood and in very nice condition.
