Antique Georgian Oak Cupboard

Description

A handsome antique Georgian oak cupboard dating from the early 19th Century. An unusual and good quality piece that offers lots of useful storage with two drawers above a single shelf cupboard. It has a beautifully figured top above two drawers with cock-beaded edges and decorative turned ebonised handles. The two cupboard doors have beautifully figured panels which open to reveal a shelf to the interior. The oak has aged to a warm shade with a striking grain and good patina. A versatile piece that would work equally well in a hall or kitchen as it would in a living room.

Solid and sturdy. Various wear and marks commensurate with age. Some old worm holes to the interior. Gap along top. Probably started life as a dresser.
