Tinker & Toad has dated this Gothic Revival Oak Cabinet to the 19th Century.
Engaged cluster columns with ring turnings and leaf-carved capitals frame the front, all raised on a deep plinth base. The oak has a lovely honey-brown colour with attractive grain and a gently worn surface that speaks to age and use. The doors open to a cupboard fitted with an adjustable shelf on sawtooth supports. The cabinet retains its original lock with a working key. Solid and practical, it presents well from all angles and sits comfortably in a hallway, sitting room or dining space as a lamp or side cabinet. Condition: Good antique condition with wear commensurate with age and use. Doors swing well and close cleanly; shelf is sound. Dimensions: W 104 cm x H 96 cm x D 45 cm (approx.).
