Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Queen Anne Revival furniture produced during the 1920s draws direct design inspiration from early 18th-century English cabinetmaking. Key features include graceful cabriole legs, pad feet, shell carvings, and the extensive use of figure-rich walnut veneers such as burr walnut and crotch walnut.

These tables are primarily constructed with a solid timber frame, often oak, mahogany, or plain walnut, overlaid with thin cuts of highly figured burr walnut veneer. Carved decorative components such as the knees and feet are sculpted directly from solid walnut.

1920s revival pieces display machine-assisted dovetails, standardized drawer construction, and uniform underside saw marks. Authentic 18th-century originals exhibit hand-cut dovetails, irregular underside drawer construction, and natural timber shrinkage or warping over centuries.

Place the table against a neutral backdrop in an entryway, hallway, or behind a sofa to allow the rich timber grain to stand out. Complement the warm wood tones with minimalist ceramics, modern framed artwork, or understated brass lighting to balance classic craftsmanship with modern styling.

Keep the wood away from direct sunlight, radiators, and air conditioning vents to prevent drying, veneer cracking, and colour fading. Apply a light coat of high-quality beeswax polish once or twice a year, buffing gently along the grain with a soft microfibre cloth.
