Description

A rare William & Mary burr elm bureau bookcase. Of small proportions and in lovely and remarkably original condition, with original handles and feet and with a great colour and waxed patina. The moldings and side are oak and the construction suggest this is an "Estate made" piece. The bureau interior is stepped and has a well and there is also a fitted interior to the upper section. 1930mm high, 890mm wide and 510mm deep. English. Circa 1690.
