In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Equestrian portraiture gained immense popularity across Europe during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, frequently commissioned by landowners and sporting enthusiasts to record prized horses within detailed landscape settings.

Artists utilised soft pastel pigments applied directly to heavy paper or card, using fine blending techniques to capture the anatomy, coat tone, and background landscape.

Authentic pieces typically feature hand-rendered layering, period paper discolouration, artist signatures or inscribed names of the horses, and age-appropriate mounting materials.

Displaying the artwork stacked vertically or side-by-side in an entryway, library, or living space introduces traditional character when paired with dark timber or neutral walls.

Keep pastel drawings framed behind glass with protective mounts to prevent the medium from contacting the glass, and position them away from direct sunlight and damp conditions.
