An antique equestrian lithograph is a print created using planographic stone-printing techniques during the nineteenth century, illustrating subjects related to horses, horsemanship, and riding culture.

Nineteenth-century lithographs were drawn directly onto flat limestone blocks using oil-based ink or crayons, which were then treated and pressed onto paper to replicate the detailed drawing.

Authentic nineteenth-century prints feature fine ink line variation without modern halftone dots, often showing light age tonal variations, publisher text along the margins, and authentic paper texture.

Display framed equestrian prints on dark panelled walls, within a gallery wall arrangement, or positioned above a console table to add historical interest to modern spaces.

Keep prints framed using acid-free mounting tape and UV-resistant glass, avoiding direct exposure to damp environments or harsh sunlight.
