Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Moser glass originated in Carlsbad, Bohemia, during the mid-nineteenth century, gaining international recognition for high-grade crystal and decorative techniques. Cranberry glass was produced by adding gold salts to molten glass, producing a distinct pink-red hue that became highly popular in late Victorian dining service accessories.

Cranberry glass relies on a colloidal gold additive during the melting process to achieve its characteristic pink colour. The gilded leaf motifs were applied by hand using liquid gold suspensions, which were subsequently fired in a kiln to fuse the decoration permanently onto the glass vessel.

Authentic pieces feature refined hand-painted gilt decoration, polished pontil marks on the base, and smooth wheel-ground rims. The weight of the glass, high clarity, and precise hand-engraved silver accessories are additional indicators of period manufacture.

Small open salts can serve as functional condiment holders for specialty flakes, individual butter dishes, or decorative accent pieces on a dining table or sideboard. Pairing detailed glass vessels with complementary metal cutlery adds texture to contemporary settings.

Hand wash the glass in warm water using a mild dish detergent, avoiding abrasive pads that could wear down the gilded surface. The silver spoon should be cleaned separately using a dedicated silver polishing cloth to remove tarnish without submerging delicate gilding.
