Victorian Antique Scottish Silver and Oak Inkstand, Inverness C.1890

Description

An amazing Victorian antique Scottish silver and oak inkstand. Made in Inverness around 1890 by Ferguson Fraser and McBean. The oak base has carved celtic knotwork with silver pins and an empty triangular cartouch. There is a lovely cast Royal stags head, two baskets and pen holders. The baskets hold two glass and silver ink bottles that have the makers and town marks. The stand sits on four feet and overall it is in excellent condition with no damage or repairs. It would grace any desk and be the star of any collection.

Weight; 845 grams or 27 ozst all in.
