Treasure Trove Worcester Ltd has dated this French Trumeau Wall Mirror to the 19th Century.
The piece features a finely painted oil-on-canvas panel above a mirror plate, housed within a painted and parcel-gilt wooden frame.

The upper panel presents a Rococo Revival scene in the manner of 18th-century fêtes galantes, with a courting couple and child by a riverbank, a wooded path, and rustic buildings in the distance. The mirror plate below retains natural foxing consistent with age. Finished in an aged cream with gilt mouldings, the frame retains its original panelled back.
