Royal Worcester Exhibition Vase – Retailed by A.B. Daniell & Son, 1884
A finely modelled Royal Worcester porcelain vase, dated 1884, with sculptural dolphin-form handle and classical mask heads to each side. The body is applied with raised oval medallions depicting cherubic figures in relief, framed by ornate gilt scrollwork highlighted in iron-red. The underside carries the Royal Worcester green factory mark with date code for 1884, together with the red retailer’s mark for A.B. Daniell & Son, Wigmore Street, London – noted for offering exhibition-standard Worcester wares during the late Victorian period.
