Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

During the Georgian era, copper hearth plates were placed at the base of the fireplace to catch stray embers, protecting surrounding timber floors and stone hearths from heat damage.

These items were handcrafted from sheet copper, shaped using manual metalworking tools, and finished with hand-folded or scalloped borders for structural rigidity.

Authentic pieces exhibit evidence of hand-hammering, subtle variations in thickness, hand-riveted or folded seams, and natural surface patination accumulated over time.

A copper hearth plate can be positioned on a fireplace hearth as a protective base for candles or log stores, or repurposed as an occasional table runner.

Dust regularly with a soft microfibre cloth and clean gently with a non-abrasive metal cleaner formulated for copper to prevent heavy tarnishing while preserving surface patination.
