A Chelsea Porcelain Gold Anchor Period figure of Mars c.1765. Splendidly clad in the armour of a Roman centurion, leaning on his sword with his shield and banner of St George behind him, brightly coloured in enamels and gold.
 
Gold anchor painted on the reverse.
 
Condition: His left hand professionally re-attached, some chips to the base, enamels and the tip of the flat also restored.
